Project Pumpkin: A Harvest for Hope

Taking Back Our Community Through Love, Unity, and Joy

In neighborhoods across Hampton Roads, families are carrying the weight of grief and fear caused by gun violence. Children who should be running, laughing, and playing are instead growing up in communities where safety feels uncertain. At Break The Cycle 757, we are determined to change that.

This fall, we are bringing back Project Pumpkin: A Harvest for Hope, a powerful community initiative dedicated to healing, rebuilding, and celebrating together. Last year, with the help of generous donors, sponsors, and volunteers, we served more than 300 families. This year, our goal is even greater: 500 families.

What Project Pumpkin Brings to Our Community

• A Harvest Experience for All: Many children in underserved neighborhoods never get to visit a pumpkin patch or enjoy the magic of the harvest season. Project Pumpkin creates that space right here in their community.

• Creative Expression: Pumpkin carving and painting stations give children the chance to express themselves in safe and joyful ways.

• Family Bonding: With music, fall treats, and activities, families can reconnect in a positive, uplifting environment.

• Community Healing: Beyond fun, Project Pumpkin is a statement: violence will not define us. Together, we are reclaiming our neighborhoods with love and unity.

• $50 sponsors one child’s full harvest experience.
